La Roche is at the south-east end of the Cantal,
off the D48 between Pierrefort and Oradour.
You will need a car during your stay.

Getting to us

By car
The journey is about 8 hours' driving time from Caen, 6 hours from Paris, 4 hours from Montpellier.

By train and hire-car
The nearest SNCF railway station is Saint-Flour (30 minutes drive from La Roche), but coming from the north it is simpler and quicker to take the train from Paris as far as Clermont-Ferrand (2 hours drive) or Issoire (1 hour 20 minutes), and then hire a car.

The train from Paris takes 3 hours 40 minutes to Clermont-Ferrand, and a further 50 minutes to reach Issoire.

By air and hire-car
The most convenient airports for La Roche are Clermont-Ferrand to the north (1 hour 30 minutes drive) and Rodez to the south (2 hours). You could also fly to Limoges (3 hours 40 minutes), Lyon (3 hours 30 minutes) or Toulouse (4 hours).
